Німецький гігант військової промисловості Rheinmetall відкриває завод з виробництва боєприпасів у Литві, йдеться про виробництво артилерійських снарядів, яких наразі не вистачає НАТО. У завод інвестують понад 180 мільйонів євро, а на його базі буде створено щонайменше 150 робочих місць.
Очікується, що новий завод вироблятиме десятки тисяч боєприпасів на рік. Об’єкту надано статус державного значення, а конкретне місце його розташування буде оголошено найближчими тижнями.
Зроблено ще один крок на шляху зміцнення оборонної промисловості у Литві, заявила міністр економіки та інновацій Литви Аушріне Армонайте.
The German giant of the military industry Rheinmetall is opening a factory for the production of ammunition in Lithuania, it is about the production of artillery shells, which NATO currently lacks. More than 180 million euros will be invested in the plant, and at least 150 jobs will be created on its base.
The new plant is expected to produce tens of thousands of munitions per year. The site has been granted state-of-the-art status, and its exact location will be announced in the coming weeks.
Another step has been taken on the way to strengthening the defense industry in Lithuania, said the Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania Aušrine Armonaite.
