19 травня за сприяння Фундації Української громади Мальти у Валетті відбувся показ фільму «20 днів у Маріуполі». Після демонстрації фільму глядачі онлайн поспілкувалися з Євгеном Малолеткою та Василісою Степаненко.
Степаненко розповіла про те, як російські військові намагалися знайти їхнє місцеперебування, аналізуючи відзняті ними кадри, притому що російські ЗМІ стверджували, що ці відео підроблені.
Незабаром після того, як команда отримала премію «Оскар», один з маріупольских лікарів зателефонував Степаненко і висловив свою подяку, і цей момент вона назвала «одним з найважливіших у моєму житті».
Наразі на Мальті перебуває близько 5 тисяч українців. Примітною особливістю є той факт, що багато хто з них працює в галузі інформатики.

On 19 May, with the support of the Foundation for the Ukrainian Community of Malta, the film '20 Days in Mariupol' was screened in Valletta. After the screening, the audience had an online conversation with Yevhen Maloletka and Vasylisa Stepanenko.
Stepanenko spoke about how the Russian military tried to find out their whereabouts by analysing the footage they had shot, despite the fact that the Russian media claimed that the videos were fake.
Shortly after the team won the Oscar, one of the doctors from Mariupol called Stepanenko to express his gratitude, a moment she called ‘one of the most important in my life’.
Currently, there are about 5,000 Ukrainians in Malta. A notable feature is the fact that many of them work in the field of computer science.
