У соцмережах знову шириться фальшива інформаційна атака — цього разу під виглядом репортажу від імені Euronews. Відео, що з’явилося на російськомовних Telegram-каналах, використовує візуальні елементи та стиль міжнародного новинного мовника й містить безпідставні твердження про масштабну корупцію та незаконну торгівлю зброєю в Молдові. Представники Euronews офіційно заявили, що жодного стосунку до відео не мають і рішуче засудили незаконне використання їхньої айдентики. У повідомленні зазначено, що команда працює над видаленням відео з усіх платформ. Фейковий сюжет, який набрав понад 16 тисяч переглядів, стверджує, нібито Молдова перетворилася на ключовий хаб чорного ринку зброї через корупцію в збройних силах. Також у відео неправдиво приписуються слова заступниці міністра закордонних справ Румунії Клари Стаїку, яка начебто назвала Молдову ідеальним транзитним пунктом для контрабандистів. Румунське МЗС рішуче відкинуло зміст відео та заявило, що цитати Стаїку сфальсифіковані. У коментарі для фактчекінгової платформи EuroVerify зовнішньополітичне відомство засудило маніпулятивне використання візуальної ідентичності посадовців для дезінформаційних кампаній, спрямованих на дестабілізацію Молдови та ослаблення довіри до її європейського курсу. Цей випадок став продовженням хвилі фейкових матеріалів, які імітують новинні випуски впливових ЗМІ напередодні виборів або на тлі геополітичної нестабільності. Попередній схожий фейк — про нібито втручання в румунські вибори — також був публічно спростований Euronews, а також офіційними структурами Румунії та Франції. Попри спроби маніпуляцій, як Euronews, так і низка незалежних медіа закликають користувачів соцмереж до критичного мислення й перевірки джерел, особливо під час виборчих кампаній і в умовах міжнародної напруги.
Fake video on corruption in Moldova, spreads widely on social media
A new wave of disinformation is circulating on social media—this time disguised as a news report allegedly produced by Euronews. The video, which appeared on Russian-language Telegram channels, mimics the visual style and branding of the international news outlet and makes unsubstantiated claims about widespread corruption and illegal arms trafficking in Moldova. Euronews representatives have officially stated they have no connection to the video and strongly condemned the unauthorized use of their visual identity. According to their statement, the Euronews team is actively working to have the video removed from all platforms. The fake report, which has already gained over 16,000 views, falsely claims that Moldova has become a key hub for the black market in arms due to corruption in its armed forces. The video also attributes fabricated quotes to Romania’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Clara Stăicu, who is falsely portrayed as calling Moldova an “ideal transit point for smugglers.” Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly rejected the video's content, stating that the alleged quotes from Stăicu are entirely fabricated. In a comment to the fact-checking platform EuroVerify, the ministry condemned what it described as the manipulative use of public officials' visual identities for disinformation campaigns aimed at destabilizing Moldova and undermining trust in its European path. This incident follows a series of similar disinformation efforts involving fake content styled after credible international media outlets, often timed around elections or amid geopolitical instability. A previous example—a falsified report about alleged interference in Romanian elections—was also publicly debunked by Euronews and the official authorities of both Romania and France. Despite ongoing attempts to mislead the public, Euronews and a number of independent media organizations are urging social media users to approach content critically and verify sources, particularly during election periods and in times of heightened international tension.
