103-й сезон конференцій Фонду принца П’єра приурочений до 75-ї річниці Літературної премії принца П’єра Монако та 25-ї річниці Гранту на відкриття. Ювілейний сезон підтверджує довготривалу місію Фонду — підтримку сучасної творчості та міждисциплінарного діалогу між літературою, музикою, філософією й кіномистецтвом. Цикл зустрічей, що переважно проходитимуть у Театрі Вар’єте в Монако об’єднає провідних письменників, мислителів, режисерів і композиторів міжнародного рівня. Формат сезону включає лекції, публічні читання та дискусії, підкреслюючи роль літературних премій як простору осмислення сучасного світу й культурного обміну. Сезон відкрився лекцією композитора Самуїла Андрєєва, присвяченою взаємозв’язку формальної дисципліни та творчої свободи. Наступною стала розмова режисера Ніколя Філібер з Жаком Кермабоном про етичні та естетичні межі документального кіно. Ключовою подією сезону стане зустріч 16 лютого 2026 року з письменником Паскалем Кіньяром — лауреатом Літературної премії принца П’єра 2000 року. Його поетична й філософська медитація, натхненна міфом про Пірама і Тісбу, розглядатиме літературу як шлях голосів, простір втечі, відкриття та внутрішньої свободи. Цей образ відсилає до Метаморфоз Овідія, де тріщина в стіні стає символом голосу, що долає розлуку, і тексту, який з’єднує розділені світи. Подальші зустрічі будуть присвячені письму як подорожі пам’яттю та мовами, ролі літературних премій у житті автора, а також біографічному й есеїстичному жанрам. У квітні в Парижі відбудеться лекція про багатомовність у літературі. Завершальним акордом 12 червня стане виступ філософа Сулеймана Башіра Діаня з роздумами про гуманізм перекладу та міжкультурний діалог.
From Ovid to the Present Day: Monaco Opens a Season of Great Ideas and Voices
The 103rd season of conferences organised by the Prince Pierre Foundation is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Prince Pierre of Monaco Literary Prize and the 25th anniversary of the Discovery Grant. This jubilee season reaffirms the Foundation’s long-standing mission to support contemporary creativity and foster interdisciplinary dialogue between literature, music, philosophy and cinema. The series of meetings, held mainly at the Théâtre des Variétés in Monaco, will bring together leading writers, thinkers, filmmakers and composers from the international cultural scene. The season’s format includes lectures, public readings and discussions, highlighting the role of literary prizes as spaces for reflection on the contemporary world and for cultural exchange. The season opened with a lecture by composer Samuel Andreyev, devoted to the relationship between formal discipline and creative freedom. This was followed by a conversation between filmmaker Nicolas Philibert and Jacques Kermabon on the ethical and aesthetic boundaries of documentary cinema. A key event of the season will take place on 16 February 2026 with a lecture by writer Pascal Quignard, winner of the Prince Pierre Literary Prize in 2000. His poetic and philosophical meditation, inspired by the myth of Pyramus and Thisbe, will explore literature as a path of voices—a space of escape, discovery and inner freedom. This image echoes Ovid’s Metamorphoses, where a crack in a wall becomes a symbol of a voice that overcomes separation and of a text that connects divided worlds. Subsequent meetings will focus on writing as a journey through memory and languages, the role of literary prizes in an author’s life, as well as biographical and essayistic forms. In April, a lecture on multilingualism in literature will take place in Paris. The season will conclude on 12 June with a lecture by philosopher Souleymane Bachir Diagne, offering reflections on the humanism of translation and intercultural dialogue.
