The novel Despair (Toivottomuus, S&S, 2025) by Finnish writer Susanna Hast has been selected as Finland’s official nominee for the European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL).

A new historical release from Finnish journalist Jussi Pekkarinen, "Näin ja kuulin" ("Thus I Saw and Heard"), offers a compelling look into Finland’s foreign diplomatic reporting during one of Europe’s darkest eras — the years between 1933 and 1945.
