Ганебним фактом таких гастролей стали виступи балету, що гастролював по восьми містах Швеції з виставою "Лускунчик", під назвою «Ballet of Ukraine». Попри заяви, що цей колектив представляє українську культуру, його організатор «Touring Actors» має реєстрацію в Москві. Крім того, половина танцюристів, які виступають під брендом України, працюють у Росії. А кошти від виступів у Швеції були спрямовані на рахунки швейцарської компанії, пов'язаної з колишнім російським банкіром. Більшість артистів цього балету, насправді, є частиною російських балетних труп. Вистави «Ballet of Ukraine», попри їх популярність, активно використовують старі прес-релізи та репертуар московських театрів. Від початку війни в 2022 році Національна опера України відмовилася від виконання творів російських композиторів, і саме цей критерій є основним для виявлення балетних шахраїв. В прес-службі театру наголошують, що балетні компанії, які використовують схожі назви на кшталт «Das Nationalballett Kiew», «Ballet de Kiev», «Kyiv City Ballet» та інші, не завжди мають пряме відношення до українського театру. Такі гастролі, за словами представників Національної опери, часто є спробами нажитися на труднощах, з якими стикається Україна через війну. Більше того, псевдобалети активно виготовляють афіші, де використовуються фото провідних українських танцюристів, що ще більше вводить в оману не тільки організаторів, а й самих глядачів. Це є не лише обманом, а й обурливим використанням важких часів, через які проходить наша країна.
Russian Ballets Tour Europe Under the Name “Ballet of Ukraine”
A shameful fact has emerged regarding the recent performances of a ballet company that toured eight Swedish cities with the production of The Nutcracker under the name "Ballet of Ukraine". Despite claims that this group represents Ukrainian culture, its organizer, "Touring Actors", is registered in Moscow. Furthermore, half of the dancers performing under the Ukrainian brand are currently working in Russia. The funds from the performances in Sweden were routed to an account belonging to a Swiss company linked to a former Russian banker. Most of the artists in this ballet are actually part of Russian ballet troupes. Despite the popularity of Ballet of Ukraine performances, they continue to use outdated press releases and repertoire from Moscow theaters. Since the beginning of the war in 2022, the National Opera of Ukraine has refused to perform works by Russian composers, and this has become a key criterion for identifying ballet frauds. The theater's press office stresses that ballet companies using similar names such as "Das Nationalballett Kiew", "Ballet de Kiev", "Kyiv City Ballet", and others do not always have any direct connection to Ukrainian theater. According to the representatives of the National Opera, such tours are often attempts to profit from the difficulties Ukraine is facing due to the war. Furthermore, these so-called ballet companies actively create posters featuring photos of leading Ukrainian dancers, further deceiving not only organizers but also audiences. This is not only a form of deception but a deeply troubling exploitation of the suffering our country is enduring.
