The 26th Amadeus Austrian Music Awards annually celebrate Austria’s brightest artists and most successful tracks. The event traditionally takes place at Marx Halle and is broadcast on ORF 1, bringing together critics, artists, and fans of contemporary Austrian music. The Austrian music award was first presented in 2000 and is given in 14 categories, ranging from “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year” to genre-specific awards such as Pop/Rock, Hip Hop/Urban, Electronic/Dance, and Schlager/Volksmusik. The award not only recognizes commercial success but also highlights the cultural and artistic value of Austrian musicians, helping emerging artists find their place on the stage.
