У Болгарії відбулася одна з ключових подій класичної музики — церемонія вручення премії «Музикант року 2024». За результатами глядацького голосування, головну нагороду цьогоріч отримала солістка Софійської опери, оперна примадонна Габріела Георгієва. Понад 5 000 слухачів взяли участь у 34-му щорічному опитуванні, в якому вони визначили найвпливовіших діячів болгарської академічної сцени. Урочиста церемонія пройшла в Першій студії Болгарського національного радіо. «Для мене велика честь отримати цю нагороду. Кожен артист потребує довіри. В останні сезони я мала можливість дебютувати в своїх ролях-мріях — за це дякую академіку Пламену Карталову, а також публіці, яка вірить у мій талант», — сказала Георгієва, отримуючи нагороду. Симфонічний оркестр БНР здобув титул «Ансамбль року 2024», продовжуючи другу поспіль концертну серію, в якій регулярно представляє твори болгарських композиторів. Колектив виступив також із протестною заявою через недостатнє фінансування та низькі зарплати музикантів.
У категорії «Музичний педагог року» перемогла видатна оперна діва Райна Кабаєванска.
«Молодим музикантом року» стала сопрано Александріна Михайлова.
Професорка Мілена Моллова, знана піаністка та викладачка, була відзначена за винятковий внесок у болгарську культуру.
Спеціальна премія імені Ольги Камбурової для підтримки молодих талантів дісталась 17-річному піаністу Івайло Васілєву, якому також надано можливість студійного запису.
Gabriela Georgieva named Musician of the Year 2024 in Bulgaria
One of the most significant events in Bulgaria’s classical music calendar — the Musician of the Year 2024 award ceremony — has taken place, honouring the country's leading artists in the field. This year’s top distinction went to Gabriela Georgieva, a soprano and principal soloist of the Sofia Opera, who was chosen by public vote as the most influential figure in the Bulgarian classical scene. Over 5,000 listeners took part in the 34th annual survey conducted by the radio programme Allegro Vivace. The award ceremony was held at the First Studio of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR). “It is a great honour to receive this award. Every artist needs trust. In recent seasons, I’ve had the chance to debut in dream roles — for that, I am thankful to Acad. Plamen Kartaloff and to the audience who believes in my talent,” Georgieva said in her acceptance speech. The BNR Symphony Orchestra was awarded the title of Ensemble of the Year 2024, continuing its second consecutive season of regularly showcasing works by Bulgarian composers. During the ceremony, the orchestra also issued a protest statement addressing the chronic underfunding of the national broadcaster and unacceptably low musician salaries.

Soprano Alexandrina Mihaylova, one of Kabaivanska’s gifted protégés, was honoured as Young Musician of the Year 2024.
Professor Milena Mollova, a celebrated pianist and pedagogue, received a special award for Outstanding Contribution to Bulgarian Culture.
The special Olga Kamburova Prize, aimed at supporting emerging artists, was awarded to 17-year-old pianist Ivaylo Vasilev, who will also have the opportunity to record in a professional studio.
