Міжнародна асоціація документального кіно (IDA, США) оголосила почесні відзнаки однієї з найвпливовіших премій у світі документалістики. Серед цьогорічних номінантів — два українські фільми, що змагатимуться у ключових категоріях. У межах спеціальних нагород відзначено трьох лауреатів. Премію за життєві досягнення отримала американська продюсерка Джулі Голдман — одна з провідних постатей документального кіно, володарка нагород Emmy та Peabody, продюсерка Victim/Suspect, The Eternal Memory і Life, Animated. Відзнаку «Найкращий молодий режисер» здобула Британі Шайн, чий дебют Seeds переміг у документальному конкурсі Sundance-2025. Премію «Піонер року» присуджено нью-йоркському фонду Impact Partners, що понад 18 років підтримує незалежну документалістику та профінансував понад 150 фільмів. До основного списку номінантів увійшли два українські проєкти. «Пісні землі, що повільно горить» Ольги Журби претендує на нагороди в категоріях «Найкращий документальний фільм» і «Найкраща режисура». Стрічка, що розповідає про трансформацію українського суспільства у перші роки війни, уже була відзначена у Венеції та номінована на Європейську кінопремію. «Дівія» Дмитра Грешка представлена в категорії «Найкраща музика» — композитор Сем Слейтер змагається за нагороду за саундтрек. Фільм є першим українським документальним дослідженням екологічних руйнувань війни.
IDA Documentary Awards: Global Honorees Announced as Two Ukrainian Films Compete for Top Prizes
The International Documentary Association (IDA, USA) has revealed the honorary recipients of one of the world's most influential documentary film awards. Among this year's nominees are two Ukrainian films competing in key categories. Three honorees were recognised with special awards. The Career Achievement Award went to American producer Julie Goldman, one of the leading figures in contemporary documentary cinema and a recipient of Emmy and Peabody awards. Her credits include Victim/Suspect, The Eternal Memory, and Life, Animated. The Emerging Filmmaker Award was presented to Brittany Shyne, whose debut feature Seeds won the U.S. Documentary Grand Jury Award at Sundance 2025. The Pioneer Award was given to the New York–based fund Impact Partners, which has supported independent documentary filmmaking for more than 18 years and has financed over 150 films. Two Ukrainian films were included in the main list of nominees. Songs of the Slowly Burning Earth by Olga Zhurba is shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature and Best Director. The film, depicting the transformation of Ukrainian society in the first years of the full-scale invasion, has already been recognised in Venice and nominated for the European Film Awards. Divia by Dmytro Hreshko is nominated for Best Music, with composer Sam Slater competing for the award. The film is the first Ukrainian documentary to systematically explore environmental destruction caused by the war. The winners of the IDA Documentary Awards will be announced in Los Angeles.
