8 червня Тернопільщина стала черговим українським регіоном, який накрила потужна негода. Дороги засипало градом товщиною до 5 см. Синоптики попереджали про аномальну спеку влітку 2024 року, яка спровокує конвективні явища, що виникають за високої температури та надмірної вологості в повітрі. А отже, ми бачимо зливи з градом, шквали, місцями – бурі. Кількома днями раніше від несамовитої погоди потерпали деякі райони Чернігівщини, так у Менській міській громаді від граду, розміром з куряче яйце, зазнали пошкоджень не тільки городина, а й будинки містян (дахи, вікна тощо). Місцева влада отримала близько 400 заяв про пошкодження майна. За два дні до того, 2 червня, у селищі Брусилові на Житомирщині, пронісся ураган, який пошкодив лінії електропередач, повалив дерева, знищив городину.
Heavy rains, hail and tornadoes - the summer in Ukraine has started with a flurry of such dangerous natural phenomena
On 8 June, Ternopil Oblast became another Ukrainian region to be hit by a severe weather event. Roads were covered with hail up to 5 cm thick. Forecasters have warned of an abnormal heat wave in the summer of 2024, which will trigger convective phenomena due to high temperatures and excessive humidity. This means that we will see showers with hail, squalls, and sometimes storms. A few days earlier, some districts of Chernihiv region suffered from violent weather, so in the Menska urban community, not only the vegetable garden but also the houses of the townspeople (roofs, windows, etc.) were damaged by hail the size of a chicken egg. Local authorities received about 300 applications for compensation for their property. Two days earlier, a hurricane had struck the village of Brusyliv in the Zhytomyr region, damaging power lines, knocking down trees and destroying vegetable gardens.
