Мисткиня із Закарпаття Марія Різак стала однією з переможниць Bologna Illustrators Exhibition 2026 — одного з найавторитетніших міжнародних конкурсів у галузі ілюстрації дитячої книги, що традиційно відбувається в межах Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Цьогорічна виставка підтвердила свій глобальний масштаб: журі розглянуло 20 790 робіт, поданих 4 158 художниками з 94 країн і регіонів світу. До фінального відбору увійшли 317 ілюстраторів, а статус лауреатів отримали лише 75 авторів із 31 країни. Серед цього кола — Марія Різак, чия серія була відзначена як одна з найвиразніших у сучасному ілюстративному контексті. Марія Різак — випускниця магістерської програми факультету образотворчого мистецтва та реставрації Національної академії образотворчого мистецтва і архітектури, освітня програма «Графіка вільна, оформлення та ілюстрація книги» (кафедра графічних мистецтв). Її конкурсні роботи — ілюстрації та художнє оформлення — присвячені фольклорній спадщині Закарпаття і були створені під час навчання в академії під керівництвом професорки кафедри графічних мистецтв Галини Галинської. До числа фіналістів Bologna Illustrators Exhibition 2026 також увійшли представники НАОМА: старший викладач кафедри графічних мистецтв Олег Грищенко, а також випускники академії Анна Сарвіра, Поліна Дорошенко та Влада Сошкіна, що ще раз засвідчує системну присутність української школи графіки у світовому професійному контексті. Bologna Illustrators Exhibition проводиться з 1967 року і вважається одним із головних індикаторів актуальних процесів у сфері ілюстрації дитячої книги.
Ukrainian Illustration on the Global Stage: Mariia Rizak Among the Laureates of the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition 2026
An artist from Zakarpattia, Mariia Rizak, has been named among the winners of the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition 2026—one of the most authoritative international competitions in the field of children’s book illustration, traditionally held as part of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. This year’s exhibition once again demonstrated its global reach: the jury reviewed 20,790 works submitted by 4,158 artists from 94 countries and regions worldwide. From this pool, 317 illustrators were shortlisted, with only 75 authors from 31 countries ultimately receiving laureate status. Among them is Mariia Rizak, whose series was recognised as one of the most distinctive within the contemporary illustration landscape. Mariia Rizak is a graduate of the Master’s programme at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Restoration of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, specialising in Free Graphics, Book Design and Illustration (Department of Graphic Arts). Her competition works—illustrations and visual design—draw on the folkloric heritage of Zakarpattia and were created during her studies at the Academy under the supervision of Professor Halyna Halynska of the Department of Graphic Arts. Other finalists of the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition 2026 also include representatives of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture: senior lecturer of the Department of Graphic Arts Oleh Hryshchenko, as well as Academy graduates Anna Sarvira, Polina Doroshenko and Vlada Soshkina. Their presence further underscores the sustained visibility of the Ukrainian school of graphic art within the global professional context. Founded in 1967, the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition is widely regarded as one of the key indicators of current developments and emerging trends in children’s book illustration.
