У лютому у Франції вийде книжка «Et la joie de vivre» — особисте свідчення Жизель Пеліко, написане у співпраці з журналісткою та письменницею Жюдіт Перріньйон. Видання з’явиться в книгарнях 17 лютого, водночас уже відкрите попереднє замовлення. Книга стала продовженням публічної історії, що набула широкого резонансу після так званого «процесу в Мазані» — однієї з найгучніших судових справ у Франції останніх років. У центрі цієї справи була систематична сексуальна експлуатація Жизель Пеліко її чоловіком, який протягом років таємно накачував її наркотичними речовинами й організовував зґвалтування сторонніми чоловіками. In February, the book Et la joie de vivre will be published in France — a personal testimony by Gisèle Pelicot, written in collaboration with journalist and novelist Judith Perrignon. The book will be available in bookstores on 17 February, with pre-orders already open. The publication follows a story that drew wide public attention after the so-called “Mazan trial,” one of the most high-profile court cases in France in recent years. At the heart of the case was the systematic sexual abuse of Gisèle Pelicot by her husband, who for years secretly drugged her and organized her rape by other men. The investigation and the trial shocked French society by the scale of the violence and the number of people involved. After the conclusion of the trial, Gisèle Pelicot chose to abandon anonymity and speak publicly about what she endured. She has repeatedly stated that her goal is not only to tell her own story, but also to change society’s perception of sexual violence by shifting shame away from victims and placing it where it belongs — on the perpetrators. Et la joie de vivre is neither a court record nor a journalistic investigation.
