З 11 лютого по 1 березня 2026 року Ніцца прийматиме черговий сезон свого знаменитого карнавалу — одного з найвідоміших у Європі. Цьогорічне свято проходитиме під темою «Хай живе Королева» та буде присвячене знаковим жіночим постатям з історії, літератури й культурної уяви. Офіційне відкриття карнавалу розпочнеться святковою ходою в центрі міста, а продовжать його денні й нічні карнавальні паради, зокрема ілюміновані корсо на площі Массена, які супроводжуватимуться виступами музичних колективів, танцюристів і масштабними світловими інсталяціями. Невід’ємною частиною програми залишаться знамениті «битви квітів» у саду Альберта I, де платформи, прикрашені квітковими композиціями, поєднуватимуть театралізоване дійство з музикою. Окремою подією стане Queernaval — інклюзивне карнавальне свято, що відбудеться наприкінці лютого й підкреслить відкритість та різноманіття сучасної Ніцци. Основні заходи проходитимуть на Англійській набережній, площі Массена, у саду Альберта I та прилеглих районах міста. Вартість квитків коливатиметься від 7 до 28 євро; передбачені пільги для дітей. Учасники, повністю вбрані в карнавальні костюми, зможуть безкоштовно відвідувати пішохідні зони під час парадів.
Nice prepares to open a carnival dedicated to female figures
From 11 February to 1 March 2026, Nice will host a new season of its famous carnival, one of the best known in Europe. This year’s celebration will take place under the theme “Long Live the Queen” and will be dedicated to iconic female figures from history, literature and cultural imagination. The official opening of the carnival will begin with a festive parade in the city centre, followed by daytime and nighttime carnival processions, including illuminated corsos on Place Masséna, accompanied by performances by musical groups, dancers and large-scale light installations. An integral part of the programme will once again be the famous “flower battles” in the Albert I Garden, where floats decorated with floral compositions combine theatrical spectacle with music. A separate highlight will be Queernaval, an inclusive carnival event taking place at the end of February, highlighting the openness and diversity of contemporary Nice. The main events will take place along the Promenade des Anglais, on Place Masséna, in the Albert I Garden and in surrounding areas of the city. Ticket prices will range from €7 to €28, with reduced rates available for children. Participants fully dressed in carnival costumes will be able to access pedestrian zones free of charge during the parades.
