У Музеї декоративного мистецтва в Парижі відкрилась презентація майбутнього Orient-Express, який Accor планує повернути на колії у 2027 році. В експозиції, що є частиною виставки «1925–2025. In Paris, the future Orient-Express is unveiled: the legend returns in 2027
The future Orient-Express, which Accor plans to relaunch in 2027, was unveiled at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. As part of the exhibition “1925–2025: A Century of Art Deco,” visitors can see three large-scale models of the new train and a restored cabin from the historic Étoile du Nord. Public enthusiasm for the legend was evident earlier this autumn, when the historic Orient-Express train displayed at Gare d’Austerlitz during European Heritage Days drew thousands of visitors and long queues. Its meticulously restored 1920s carriages, featuring panels by René Lalique and marquetry by René Prou, became one of the season’s highlights. Architect Maxime d’Angeac, who leads the redesign, aims to revive the spirit of Art Deco by combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Accor and LVMH already operate other successors of the iconic train — the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and the Dolce Vita Orient-Express — where a journey starts at around €3,500 per night. In 2027, the company will introduce the renewed Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express, whose historic carriages were rediscovered in 2015. The Paris presentation confirms that the Orient-Express is once again emerging as a symbol of French luxury, continuing its journey as a moving work of art.
