Франсін Ван Гоув (нар. 1942 року) - сучасна французька художниця, відома своїми картинами молодих жінок з мрійливими поглядами. Її графічні та живописні техніки нагадують італійських художників епохи Відродження та фламандських художників 16-17 століть.

Творчий доробок мисткині налічує понад 400 картин, які перебувають у приватній власності, а також численні малюнки та пастелі.

Сюжет картин Ван Гоув втілюється у витончених позах її моделей та вдосконалюється за допомогою численних підготовчих малюнків, щоб переконатися, що ті виглядають природно.

Її сцени з повсякденного життя зберігають якусь таємницю під позірною простотою. Поза обмеженнями зовнішнього світу, як образи, ці молоді жінки дозволяють собі лінуватися або насолоджуватися миттєвостями, вихопленими з плину часу.

Не переймаючись власною красою, вони нав'язують своїм суто жіночим ставленням таємничу гармонію, своєрідну крихкість. Іінтимна творчість художниці відображає відчуття некомунікабельності та рятівної самотності, як самостійно обраного усамітнення на тлі світового неспокою"(Jean-Marie Oger).
