Базу відпочинку біля Черепашинецького кар’єру, що на Вінниччині, повернули у власність громади. Прокуратура через суд домоглася скасування права власності підприємця на самовільно збудовані об’єкти — кафе-бар та допоміжні споруди загальною площею понад 300 м². Наразі для громадян немає законних обмежень щодо вільного доступу до рекреаційної зони біля водойми. Гранітний кар’єр, затоплений природними джерелами, в народі прозвали «Вінницькими Мальдівами» — завдяки неймовірному кольору води та атмосфері відпочинку на лоні природи. У XX столітті тут активно видобували граніт, однак після зупинки промислового видобуття кар’єр поступово заповнився водою. Так утворилось озеро з надзвичайно прозорою та глибокою водою. Щодо особливості водойми: колір її води — яскраво-бірюзовий, із відтінками небесної сині, що особливо вражає у сонячну погоду. Цей ефект зумовлений мінеральним складом дна та глибиною водойми. Вода надзвичайно чиста: за відсутності водоростей видно дно на кілька метрів, а глибина сягає місцями понад 20 метрів. Дно водойми — кам’янисте, з різкими перепадами й обривами; ближче до берега трапляються пісок і галька, тож занурюватися слід обережно. Кар’єр оточений сосновим і змішаним лісом, який створює природну тінь і приємну прохолоду навіть у спекотну погоду. Аромат хвої та віддаленість від міської метушні надають місцю затишку та спокою. У лісовій зоні дозволено встановлювати намети, розпалювати багаття у визначених місцях та організовувати кемпінг. Кар’єр має унікальний природний оптичний феномен, його небесна вода, чисте повітря та мальовничі краєвиди створюють ефект курортної лагуни — посеред українського Поділля.
The Refreshing Waters of Cherepashyntsi Quarry Are Once Again Open to All
The recreational facility near the Cherepashyntsi Quarry in Vinnytsia region has been returned to public ownership. Following a court ruling, the prosecutor’s office succeeded in revoking a private entrepreneur’s claim to ownership of illegally constructed buildings — a café-bar and auxiliary structures totaling over 300 m². Currently, there are no legal restrictions preventing citizens from freely accessing the area around the lake. Locals have nicknamed the flooded granite quarry the “Vinnytsia Maldives” thanks to the stunning turquoise color of the water and the peaceful atmosphere it offers. In the 20th century, the site was actively used for granite extraction. After mining operations ceased, the pit slowly filled with water from natural underground springs. Over time, this led to the formation of a deep, crystal-clear lake that has since become a popular destination for nature lovers and swimmers. What Makes This Lake Special : The water features a vivid turquoise hue with shades of sky blue, which appears particularly striking in sunny weather. This phenomenon results from the mineral composition of the granite and the depth of the lake. The water is remarkably clean — with no algae present, the rocky bottom is visible several meters deep. In some areas, the lake reaches depths of more than 20 meters. The floor of the lake is rocky, with sharp drops and steep edges. Closer to the shore, one can find patches of sand and gravel, so caution is advised when entering the water. The quarry is encircled by pine and mixed woodland, which provides natural shade and a cool breeze even on the hottest summer days. The scent of pine and the seclusion from urban noise create a serene and cozy environment. Camping is allowed in the forested zone, including setting up tents and lighting campfires in designated areas. The quarry is a rare example of a natural optical phenomenon: its vibrant water, clean air, and picturesque surroundings create the feel of a tropical lagoon — right in the heart of central Ukraine.
